May we ask you a Question?

Is it possible to know for sure that when you die that you will go to heaven?

For years people have wrestled with the philosophical questions; “Where did I come from? “Why am I here?” and “Where am I going?” People have often struggled to not think about them, but they are questions that we all must deal with.

The Bible tells us that God loves us. In fact such a great love that God was willing to send His son, Jesus, to the earth to live a perfect life and then die as our substitute for our sin on the cross. God had to provide a way because we all have sinned. So to be able to offer us the gift of eternal life and a relationship with God, sin had to be dealt with. Romans 5:8 says

“God demonstrated His love toward us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.”

The word for us means in our place or in our behalf. The great truth of God’s love is that Jesus took all your sin upon Himself and paid for it on the cross. Jesus didn’t come just to be an example. Jesus came to be our substitute.

The Bible tells us that the only way this is possible is because of God’s Grace. That means that we are not forgiven of our sins because of our own efforts or because of  belonging to a church or religion, but rather because God is loving  and wants to save us by a free gift.

The Bible tells us to receive this free gift one must put his faith in Jesus as his own personal Savior. “For by grace are you saved through faith not of works lest any man should boast.”

Have you ever done that? Have you come to the place where you cry out to only God and believe in Jesus as your Savior? What is stopping you right now from making that decision? In Simple faith you can right now say to God something like this:

God I know I am a sinner and deserve to be punished.   I accept that Jesus took my place on the cross and died for my sin, and arose from the dead.  I now accept your free gift of eternal life. Thank you for saving me.

                                            In Jesus’ name amen.

If you have trusted Jesus alone to forgive you of your sin and to be your substitute for the payment of your sin- then the Bible says you have received God’s GIFT of eternal life

A great verse to memorize to be reminded of this wonderful truth is John 5:24

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.(KJV)

1. Did you hear God’s word?

2. Did you believe on Jesus as your Savior?

3. Did God give you eternal life based on this verse?

4. Where will you go when you die?

It sounds so simple because it is God’s simple plan of salvation. God has not made it difficult- He just made it Wonderful!
